Health & Pre-Existing Conditions

SuperPetz Grooming is not responsible for any pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or illnesses that may become apparent or worsen during the grooming process. We recommend that all pets receive a veterinary check-up prior to grooming if you have any concerns about their health.

Grooming can sometimes expose underlying skin conditions, matting, or other issues that were not previously visible. In such cases, we will notify you immediately and may recommend veterinary attention.

Matting & Coat Condition

Severely matted coats may require shaving close to the skin. This process, while necessary for the animal's welfare, can occasionally cause skin irritation or reveal pre-existing skin conditions. SuperPetz Grooming will not be held liable for any post-grooming effects resulting from the removal of matted fur.

We will always discuss coat condition with you before proceeding and obtain your consent for any significant changes to your pet's coat.

Senior & Special Needs Pets

Elderly, ill, or medically compromised pets may be at greater risk during grooming. The stress of grooming can sometimes aggravate pre-existing conditions. We strongly advise owners of senior or special needs pets to consult their veterinarian before booking a grooming appointment.

SuperPetz Grooming reserves the right to stop a grooming session at any time if we believe it is in the best interest of the animal's health and safety.

Aggressive or Anxious Pets

For the safety of both our staff and your pet, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming services for any animal displaying aggressive behaviour. Owners must disclose any history of aggression, anxiety, or biting prior to the appointment.

If a pet becomes distressed or aggressive during grooming, we will contact the owner immediately. SuperPetz Grooming will not be held liable for any injuries sustained as a result of undisclosed aggressive behaviour.

Accidents & Injuries

While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, accidents can occasionally occur during grooming. SuperPetz Grooming takes all reasonable care but cannot be held liable for minor nicks, cuts, or irritations that may occur during the grooming process, particularly in cases involving matted, sensitive, or difficult-to-groom coats.

In the event of any injury, we will notify you immediately and, where necessary, recommend or arrange veterinary care.

Flea & Parasite Policy

If fleas or other parasites are discovered during grooming, we will treat your pet with an appropriate flea treatment shampoo (additional charge applies) and notify you immediately. To protect all animals in our care, we reserve the right to refuse service to pets with active flea infestations until they have been treated.

Veterinary Emergencies

In the event of a veterinary emergency, SuperPetz Grooming will attempt to contact the owner immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to seek emergency veterinary care on your behalf. Any costs incurred for emergency veterinary treatment will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

Late Arrival & Late Collection Policy

We kindly ask all clients to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, a late arrival charge of £10 will be applied. This ensures fairness to all clients and allows us to maintain our schedule.

Similarly, pets must be collected promptly once their grooming session is complete. If collection is delayed by more than 15 minutes beyond the agreed pick-up time, a late collection charge of £10 will be applied. Please note that SuperPetz Grooming is a professional grooming salon and not a day care facility — we are unable to accommodate extended stays.

Limitation of Liability

SuperPetz Grooming's liability is limited to the cost of the grooming service provided. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from the provision of our services.
